An exciting week!
A big welcome to the new children who have joined us in Nursery this week. They’ve settled in really well and our existing children have been fabulous at helping to teach them our Nursery rules and routines.
We’ve also had some new class visitors arrive this week - have the children told you we’re looking after our very own ladybirds? We’ve been learning about the life-cycle of a ladybird and what we need to do to help them to grow. At the moment they are at the ‘larva’ stage and not looking too pretty!
The children’s beanstalks are growing rapidly and they’ve been busy watering them and talking about the changes they can see. We’ve also read the story about The Tiny Seed and have been using different types of seeds in our activities. On Tuesday we tasted some sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and on Thursday we made some seeded bread rolls which smelt and tasted yummy. Next week we will be reading the story of ‘The Very Busy Spider’.
