P.E Curriculum Intent
Due to changing lifestyles and the impact of COVID we want our children to enjoy and be challenged by physical activity. This will encourage them to be healthy and active for life.
Through high quality physical education and school sport, that encompasses whole school life skills and a whole child approach we aim to nurture confident, resilient children who work well with others and will strive for their personal best. We want to aid our children in obtaining the skills to celebrate and respect the success of others, as well as modestly celebrating their own successes.
We listen to our children and provide them with a range of experiences, and clubs, which we know they will enjoy. We sign post them to local clubs and activities to help foster lifelong physical activity. We strive to educate both our children and families to develop a greater understanding on how to live healthy lifestyles and make healthy choices. We are dedicated to ensuring healthy minds, as well as bodies and will continue to support our children’s well-being through our P.E curriculum.
We want our children to leave our school with the skills, mind set and the capabilities to be successful in their sporting challenges and healthy, active lifestyles at secondary school and beyond.
