Here at Bure Park we pride ourselves on offering our children a range of extracurricular activities.

We believe that by offering children a variety of after-school and lunchtime activities, we can help enrich their learning experience further. The clubs available not only add to the curriculum, but benefit the children socially, give them the chance to extend special skills and interests as well as provide a great deal of enjoyment.

Children are given the opportunity to choose which clubs they would like to attend on a termly basis so there are plenty of opportunities to try new experiences and learn new skills.

Autumn Term

After-school clubs run from 21st September until 4th December (3:15pm–4pm).

Monday

Craft Club – Year 1 & 2

A different project each week to design, make and take home!

Hockey – Year 4, 5 & 6

Skills and mini games.

Board Games – Year 4, 5 & 6

Different board games to play in the classroom – Scrabble, Chess, Jenga, Risk, Boggle, Cluedo, Monopoly and any other board games around the school.

Tuesday

Handbells – Year 1, 2 & 3

Learn how to play popular songs on the handbells.

Drawing – Year 3 & 4

Sketching and following along with drawing demonstrations.

Maths Games & Activities – Year 3

Play a range of games using dice, cards, shapes etc.

Netball – Year 5 & 6

To develop netball skills and play games.

Book Club – Year 3, 4, 5 & 6

For students who enjoy reading and talking about books. There will be activities to help share their reading experiences.

Wednesday

Multiskills - Year 1 & 2

An assortment of PE games and activities.

Thursday

Forest School – Year 1 & 2

Play and explore in our Forest School site. Activities include bug hunting, den building and tree climbing.

Challenge Club – Year 1 & 2

New challenge every week to problem solve.

Sketch Club – Year 5 & 6

Sketching and following along with drawing demonstrations.

Mindful Activity Club - Year 4, 5 & 6

Choose no-tech activities such as books, colouring, puzzles, games etc.

Friday

Football – Year 5 & 6

Children will participate in small-sided matches, with the opportunity to represent the school in local leagues.
