Bure Park Primary School

Learning, caring, growing, sharing

Welcome

Head Teacher's Welcome

It is a pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Bure Park Primary School website. I do hope that you will find it informative, interesting and helpful.

At Bure Park, we are determined to maintain and build upon the high levels of success already achieved. We firmly believe that a rigorous, exciting, challenging and relevant curriculum will provide the very special learning experience, your child deserves. Our priority is to develop your child into a confident, well rounded, caring and independent individual who has a set of wide ranging skills, and values, that will help him/her to learn, work and play in an ever changing world and society – be a participator, a contributor, a team player, and ultimately a happy, healthy and respectful citizen.

We are extremely encouraged by the high regard in which the school is viewed within the local and educational community and it is with a sense of privilege and pride that I lead both a team of dedicated, hardworking and approachable staff plus a team of happy, enthusiastic, respectful and caring children. The school enjoys valuable support from the parent body and the Board of Governors.

The school is very well resourced, through our delegated budget and the support of parents (where our PTA ‘Buddies’ team provide invaluable support.) The school stands within secure and child friendly grounds which we constantly strive to develop and improve.

We value very highly the strong links which have evolved between the school and the local community and we regard education as a partnership between parents, teachers and children. We aim to forge strong links with the wider, and international, communities in order that your child can benefit from a wider range of learning experiences and opportunities. By continuing to work closely together, we aim to maintain a warm, friendly school environment, to underpin a stimulating, challenging learning experience in which your child can “be the best that they can be”; and develop a high level of self-esteem.

We provide a wide range of creative activities including special curriculum days and weeks; after school clubs; wrap around care; residential and day visits and a range of social and fund raising events co-ordinated by our Buddies. The Arts, sport, P.E/activity, health and well-being plus the international dimension. underpinned by strong British values, are highly valued here.

The school has a thriving House system. School competitions and events, across a range of curriculum areas, are organised through the House system - these have added an additional rich dimension to the life of the school.
